The concrete fence lining the north end of the City’s Service Center has reached the end of its useful life. The current cast concrete panels are deteriorating, the supports are failing due to ground movement, and replacement panels are no longer readily available. In order to protect the equipment and buildings located at the service center, as well as improve the appearance of the facility facing a large residential area, a removal and replacement of the fence is necessary.
The proposed material has been recently installed at several commercial and residential developments throughout the City. The combination of low-maintenance durability, ease of installation and replacement, and appearance will keep the City’s assets protected and improve the neighborhood.
Future Outdoors, LLC, is the area’s leading installer of the RhinoRock precast fencing system. They have experience in municipal and residential settings and received positive references from the City of Grand Prairie. The project was quoted according to their Time and Material contract with Grand Prairie.
Financial Implications
Funding for this project is available through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) fund.
