Authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute a Professional Engineering Services Contract with Freeman-Millican, Inc., for the Trinity Pointe Mesquite Elevated Tank in the City of Mesquite within Kaufman County, in the amount of $654,500.00.
Body
A two-million-gallon elevated storage tank is required to provide potable water and stabilize system pressures for City of Mesquite residents in Kaufman County.
This elevated storage tank will be located off of FM 2757 and will work in conjunction with the Holzapfel Pump Station to provide potable water to the Trinity Pointe Mesquite developments of Talia, Polo Ridge, Trailwinds and the service area previously served by Markout Water Supply Corporation.
Financial Implications
Funding has been allocated in the annual Water and Sewer Capital Improvement Plan to support this project.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute a Professional Engineering Contract with Freeman-Millican, Inc.
