The proposed vehicles were evaluated for replacement, and it was determined based on the repair cost, mileage, and overall condition of the vehicles. The vehicles are recommended to be replaced by Equipment Services and with the concurrence of the department director. These units are assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division and were approved in the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Capital Outlay budget.

Staff has located three Ford Explorers with an estimated delivery of May 2024 to replace vehicles with high mileage and maintenance costs.
