This project will construct approximately one mile of 12-foot concrete trail, two pedestrian bridges, an overlook (add alternate 2), pedestrian crossings, drainage improvements, utility adjustments, lighting, landscaping, irrigation, and hardscaping amenities.
This project is anticipated to begin in March 2024 and to be complete by April 2025.
Bid notices were broadcast through the Periscope Holdings electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website, and published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. A total of one responsive bid was received. Staff has reviewed their qualifications and recommends award of the base bid to Urban Infraconstruction, LLC.
Financial Implications
This project is funded with Certificate of Obligation (CO) funds, Water and Sewer funds, and TIRZ No. 2. $2,500,000.00 is reimbursable by Dallas County Trails and Open Spaces funds.
