This The proposed professional services contract with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., is to upgrade the existing traffic signal system for the intersections of:
1. Galloway Avenue at Range Drive
2. Galloway Avenue at SH 352 (East Davis Street and East Main Street)
3. East Cartwright Road at Lawson Road
4. SH 352 at Pioneer Road
5. Heartland Parkway at FM 741 (located in Kaufman County)
Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. was selected as the firm best able to meet the City’s needs under this project’s circumstances.
Financial Implications
This project is funded by Certificate of Obligation (CO) bond funds, Quality of Life (4B) funds, and 2023 Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant funds.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends that the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute an agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.
