Consider appointment of one Regular Member (Place No. 2) to the Historic Mesquite, Inc., Board of Directors for a term to expire December 31, 2026, and two Regular Members (Place Nos. 6 and 8) for terms to expire December 31, 2024.
Body
Currently, the Historic Mesquite, Inc., Board of Directors (HMI) has three vacancies (Place Nos. 2, 6 and 8). All members serve alternating three-year terms.
HMI is a non-profit corporation. Therefore, attendance requirements are not applicable to this board.
HMI consists of nine members appointed by the City Council. Nine additional members are self-appointed by the Board. HMI is charged with being stewards of Mesquite’s two historic parks and Mesquite’s collection of historic artifacts.
