OTTO ENVIRONM INC. submitted a proposal for the caging, equipment, and installation services for the Mesquite Animal Shelter and Adoption Center expansion project. The expansion includes an addition of two animal adoption areas and a medical area. The equipment in this bid is to provide the cages, kennels, cabinets, sinks, and installation services for this area which will include 26 dog kennels and 40 cat cages.
Bid documents for this project were broadcast through the Periscope Holdings electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website and advertised in the Daily Commercial newspaper. Two bids response were received.
Financial Implications
The project is budgeted from the City’s Capital Improvement Project (CIP) and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute a contract with OTTO ENVIRONM INC.
