The term of the contract is for a one-year period, with four additional one-year renewal options. The City Manager is authorized to exercise the renewal options subject to the annual appropriation of sufficient funds.)

The City’s Solid Waste and Streets Divisions currently utilize a contract for temporary labor. Temporary laborers are used as needed to cover manpower shortages caused by staff vacancies, seasonal workloads, and increased residential waste caused by weather events.
Financial Implications
The proposed contract would be funded by the Solid Waste Enterprise Fund Waste and the Streets Operations Budget. The shortfall of $32,997.00 will be funded with salary savings.

Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute a contract with A & Associates, Inc.
