This project is to rehabilitate Oates Drive from Gus Thomasson Road to North Galloway Avenue by localized full depth concrete repairs and asphalt mill and overlay. The project also includes new pavement markings and improvements to pedestrian facilities.
This project is anticipated to begin this fall and be completed by Spring 2025.
Bid notices were broadcast through the Periscope Holdings electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website, and published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. A total of five responsive bids were received. Staff has reviewed their qualifications and recommends award of the base bid to Texas Materials Group, Inc.
Financial Implications
Funding for this project is provided by General Funds specifically designated for Concrete Streets Pavement Preservation and Dallas County 50/50 Type B Public Roadway District #1.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends that City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute a contract with Texas Materials Group, Inc.
