The City’s Print Shop/Mailroom Division is responsible for processing the outgoing postal mail and United States Postal Service (USPS) packages for all City departments.
The Quadient DS95I will be utilized to process high volumes of mail. The machine encompasses four feeders, a Web Tracking System, Conveyor Stacker with Drop Tray and Bulk Mailer Business Software which includes the National Change of Address (NCOA) service which is a system of record for all change of address requests filed with the USPS.
The Web Tracking System (WTS) includes a computer workstation, mobile device for the receipt and delivery of packages, bar code scanner of carrier tracking numbers into the WTS, label printer for printing of tracking labels for packages and a signature pad for capturing digital signatures at the time of delivery.
The proposal received from Quadient, Inc. is for a 48-month lease agreement with monthly lease payments of $2,975.50, for an estimated annual total cost of $35,706.00.

Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute a lease agreement with Quadient, Inc.
