Three electric vehicles were approved for purchase in Fiscal Year 2024 under Resolution 36-2024 for the EECBG Voucher Rebate Program. Acquiring the three new electric vehicles will allow for replacement of three fleet vehicles that have met the end of their useful life. The following departments will use the three electric vehicles for daily field activities.
• 2003100 - Ford Fusion for Rental Inspections
• 1000856 - 2010 Chevrolet 1500 for Environmental Code Division
• 0500773 - 2005 Chevrolet Impala for Parks & Recreation Department
Staff has located three 2025 Blazer EV LT AWD Electric 5 Passenger vehicles. The current estimated time of arrival of the new EV’s is February 2025.
Financial Implications
Purchase of the vehicles is part of the funds approved under the 2024 DOE - EECBG Voucher Rebate Program.
