On March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021, was signed into law by the President which established the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund to provide support in responding to the impacts of COVID-19. Under Resolution No. 26-2023, approved by the City Council on June 20, 2023, the City of Mesquite resolved to expend $27,021,425.00 of Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds allocated by the U.S Department of Treasury, pursuant to the ARPA and eligible activities.
During the Pre-Meeting, staff will provide an update regarding ARPA fund utilization including projects and programs funded and expenditures to date.
