The proposed Flameless Patchers for Streets consist of an electrically heated hopper, which is safer than propane or hot oil patchers. It has the ability to heat patching materials during working and non-working hours. Two Flameless Patchers were approved in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Capital Outlay Budget.

Staff has located two patchers on a Freightliner cab and chassis to replace units using propane burners and high maintenance costs. These new units are estimated to arrive in June 2025.
