This purchase exceeds the City Manager’s approval of the $100,000.00 limit per vendor per fiscal year. An additional Canine Unit was approved for the Police Department in the 2024-25 Police State Seizure Budget. Staff has located one (1) 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe to be outfitted for a Canine Unit. The estimated time of arrival for the unit is August 2025.
Financial Implications
The recommended unit will be purchased through previously approved Amendment No. 1 to the 2024-25 Police State Seizure Budget. The remaining funds will be used to outfit the vehicle with lights and other required emergency equipment.
