The Fire Department currently staffs seven full-time ambulances and one peak-time ambulance. This remounted ambulance will replace the department’s oldest full-time ambulance which will be placed in reserve status.
This remounted ambulance, as manufactured by SERVS, meets all current safety and cleanliness standards. This remounted ambulance includes a Mobile Electric Power Solutions (MEPS) system as the power source and eliminates the need for an onboard generator, saving on repair and maintenance costs.
Furthermore, the Fire Department has allotted $80,000.00 in project funding to purchase an automatic patient loading system, power cot, and stair chair, enhancing the safety of fire personnel in the delivery of high-quality care to Mesquite citizens and visitors.
