Authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute Amendment No. 1 to the La Prada Drive Reconstruction Project, from Motley Drive to Pinehurst Lane, with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., for additional design and construction documents in an amount not to exceed $333,500.00.
Body
On November 7, 2022, the City Council approved a contract for the La Prada Drive Reconstruction Project, from Motley Drive to Pinehurst Lane, in the amount of $2,498,000.00 covering approximately 8,700 linear feet.
The project has two phases:
• Phase 1: Motley Drive to Barnes Bridge Road intersection
• Phase 2: Barnes Bridge Road to Pinehurst Lane
Amendment No. 1, totaling $333,500.00, will cover additional Phase 1 design services, including:
• Modification for roadway geometry, storm drains, utilities, pavement markings and signage.
• Design for landscape, hardscape, and irrigation.
• Raised intersection at Sarazen Drive and La Prada Drive.
Financial Implications
Funding is allocated through Certificate of Obligation bond funds.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute Amendment No. 1 to the La Prada Drive Reconstruction Project, from Motley Drive to Pinehurst Lane, with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.
