A resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an Advance Funding Agreement for Highway Safety Improvement Program Project (both On-System and Off-System) with the State of Texas, acting by and through the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), for traffic signal improvements.
Body
This agreement will authorize funding and Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) participation for the Highway Planning and Construction Project. TxDOT passed Minute Order No. 116522, authoring the State to undertake and complete a highway improvement described as traffic signal improvements. The Project consists of four locations for traffic signal improvements:
* State Highway 352 at Galloway Avenue (Project No. 0430-01-066)
o Total estimated construction cost $880,431.87
o Federal Participation amount $654,132.60
o State Participation amount $176,299.27
o Local Participation amount for Design $50,000.00
* State Highway 352 at East Glen Boulevard (Project No. 0430-01-067)
o Total estimated construction cost $742,166.82
o Federal Participation amount $544,918.50
o State Participation amount $147,248.32
o Local Participation amount for Design $50,000.00
* East Cartwright Road at Lawson Road (Project No. 0918-47-455)
o Total estimated construction cost $722,611.30
o Federal Participation amount $588,302.00
o State Participation amount $29,361.89
o Local Participation amount for Design $104,947.41
* Galloway Avenue at Range Drive (Project No. 0918-47-456)
o Total estimated construction cost $3,067,821.29
o Federal Participation amount $2,375,655.10
o State Participation amount $382,271.37
o Local Participation amount for Design $309,894.82
Construction costs will be allocated based on 100% Federal and State funding and 0% Local Government funding until the Federal and State funding reaches the maximum obligated amount, at which time the City of Mesquite will be responsible for the cost overruns.
