Attached is a letter from the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) notifying the City Council that Ms. Patrick’s term on the NTMWD Board of Directors will expire May 31, 2021.
Ms. Patrick has served the City well in her first term as a member of the board and has been an essential liaison between the City and NTMWD in the resolution of the water rate case and other actions of the Board. Ms. Patrick has proven to be a quick study of the operations of NTMWD and spends a significant amount of time preparing for and participating in Board meetings.
The NTMWD recently appointed a new Executive Director and will face numerous challenges with growth and rate stabilization over the next few years. Ms. Patrick is willing to serve for another term and will be a great asset to the City with continued service. The new term will expire on May 31, 2023.
Recommended/Desired Action
It is staff’s recommendation to appoint Ms. Brenda Jean Patrick to another term on the NTMWD Board of Directors for a term to expire on May 31, 2023.
