Consider appointment of one Alternate Member (Alternate No. 1) to the Building Standards Board for a term to expire December 31, 2025.
Body
Currently, the Building Standards Board has three vacancies - Regular Members (Position Nos. 6 and 7) and Alternate Member (Alternate No. 1). All members serve alternating two-year terms with a limit of three terms.
Alternate members shall have one or more of the qualifications required for regular members and shall attend at least one meeting every six months.
Applicant John Funderburk holds a Mechanical Contractors license which makes him eligible to serve as an alternate member.
The Building Standards Board consists of seven regular members and two alternates appointed by the City Council. The Board is charged with responsibility for hearing appeals from decisions of the Building Official and reviewing changes to the City’s model building codes.
