Bid documents were broadcast to vendors through the Bidnet Direct electronic procurement system and an Advertisement for Request for Proposal (RFP) notice was published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. A total of one proposal was received.

The proposal documents were evaluated on a best quoted proposal basis. Staff evaluated the responses based on the following criteria: pricing, technical capabilities and experience, product quality and compliance, warranty and service support and delivery and response time.

This RFP will provide high-quality hydraulic pumps, power take-offs (PTOs) and PTO solenoids used in municipal fleet vehicles to include solid waste equipment, public works and parks equipment. With the increase in Solid Waste vehicles to the City’s fleet, the hydraulic pumps and PTOs are utilized heavily and must provide reliable performance in Texas’ climate conditions.

The proposal documents requested proposers to price their hourly labor rate as well as a discount on parts. The items proposed by Inland Truck Parts Company meet specifications, service delivery standards and performance and service levels as set forth in the RFP.

The term of this award is for a one-year period with four additional one-year renewal options. The City Manager is authorized to exercise the renewal options, subject to the annual appropriation of sufficient funds.
