Currently, there is one vacancy on the Youth Advisory Board, Position No. 4 (Representative from the business community).
The Youth Advisory Board serves as a vital connection between the City Council, City staff, and Mesquite’s youth ensuring that young residents have a voice in civic engagement and community programming.
This board:
• Serves as a liaison to the City Council and make recommendations regarding Mesquite Youth Council initiatives.
• Provides recommendations to the City Council on youth-focused programs and policies.
• Monitors and evaluates City programming related to youth and suggest enhancements.
• Acts as a forum for exchanging information related to current and future Mesquite Youth Council programs.
• Updates the City Council on the status of Mesquite Youth Council initiatives as needed.
