Consider appointment of five Regular Members (Position Nos. 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9) to the Animal Services Advisory Committee for terms to expire December 31, 2025.

Currently, the Animal Services Advisory Committee has no vacancies for regular members. Dr. Mark Pirrung (Position No. 1), Hugo Espinoza (Position No. 3), Maryanne Chiarelli (Position No. 5), Pamela Miller (Position No. 7) and Karen McLeod-Ellis (Position No. 9) are eligible for reappointment and have agreed to serve another term, if appointed. All members serve alternating two-year terms with a limit of three terms.
The Animal Services Advisory Committee is a nine-member board established to review policies of the Mesquite Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, provide guidance to the Animal Services Division in complying with all the provisions of the V.T.C.A. Health and Safety Code, Chapter 823, as amended, and to perform such other duties as may be assigned by the City Council.
