Consider appointment of four Regular Members (Position Nos. 1, 4, 7 and 10) to the Downtown Development Advisory Board for terms to expire December 31, 2028, and one member (Position No. 6) for a term to expire December 31, 2027.
Body
Currently, there are five vacancies on the Downtown Development Advisory Board - Position Nos. 1, 4, 6, 7, and 10). All members serve alternating three-year terms with a limit of two terms.
The Downtown Development Advisory Board serves as a liaison to the City Council and makes recommendations regarding Downtown Mesquite Development initiatives, makes recommendations to the City Council for incentive programs, reviews applications for City Council-approved incentive programs and recommends action regarding applications, monitors programs and activities of the Organization, Promotion, Economic Vitality and Design Committees of the Board, serves as a forum for the exchange of information related to current or future Downtown Mesquite Development programs, and updates the City Council of the status of Downtown Mesquite Development progress, as needed.
