Consider appointment of one Regular Member (Position No. 4) to the Mesquite Quality of Life Corporation (MQOLC) Board of Directors for a term to expire December 31, 2026, who will also serve on the Mesquite Economic Development Advisory (MEDA) Board.
Body
Currently, the Mesquite Quality of Life Corporation (MQOL) Board of Directors and Mesquite Economic Development Advisory (MEDA) Board have one vacancy for a Regular Member (Position No. 4). All members serve alternating two-year terms with a limit of three terms.
The Mesquite Quality of Life Corporation (MQOLC) Board of Directors consists of seven members appointed by the City Council. MQOLC is authorized to study and fund permissible projects, limited to Transportation, Public Safety and Public Parks and Recreation.
The Mesquite Economic Development Advisory (MEDA) Board consists of the same members of the MQOLC Board of Directors to serve in an advisory capacity regarding Mesquite development initiatives, programs and other economic development related projects.
