Body
On March 3, 2025, the City Council approved creation of the Youth Advisory Board per Ordinance No. 5156 to serve as a vital connection between the City Council, City staff, and Mesquite’s youth ensuring that young residents have a voice in civic engagement and community programming.
Council appointed members on July 21, 2025, and August 18, 2025. Additionally, on August 18, 2025, Council voted to amend the ordinance to expand the Board from nine to eleven Regular Member positions.
Regular Member (Position No. 3) is reserved for a Representative from Mesquite Independent School District (MISD) Middle School Faculty or Staff.
