On January 19, 2021, City Council approved Bid No. 2020-011, Matthew Holzapfel Pump Station, with Gracon Construction in the amount of $13,163,725.00. Change Order No. 1 (an increase of $101,613.45) was approved by the City Manager on March 21, 2022, for construction price increases due to the influence of COVID-19. Change Order No. 2 was approved by the City Manager on September 19, 2022, for additional contract time only. Change Order No. 3 (a decrease of $287,831.15) was approved by the City Manager on March 29, 2023, to address several minor contract adjustments.
Change Order No. 4 is required for the construction of an approximate 3,150 linear feet of 12-inch water main along Wiser Road from Matthew Holzapfel Pump Station to FM-740. Change Order No. 4 is in the amount of $1,850,000.00, for a revised contract amount of $14,827,507.30.
Financial Implications
This project is budgeted using Water and Sewer Revenue Funds. Funds exist in the project account to cover this change order.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends ratification of Change Order No. 4 to Bid No. 2020-011, Matthew Holzapfel Pump Station, and authorizing the City Manager to finalize and execute all documents necessary to complete this ratification.
