Title

Conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance for Application No. Z1117-0015, submitted by Celebration Station, to amend Conditional Use Permit Ordinance No. 2787 on property located at 4040 Towne Crossing Boulevard to add bowling and bumper cars as permitted activities.

(No responses in favor of or in opposition to the application have been received from property owners within the statutory notification area. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval with certain stipulations.)

 

Body

On December 11, 2017, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of Application No. Z1117-0015.

 

Celebration Station proposes expansion of their existing building to provide more space for arcade games and to include bumper cars and 10 bowling lanes in the facility. They will also be adding dining space and an enhanced entryway to the business. The current conditional use permit (CUP) specifies the allowable indoor and outdoor amusements that are permitted. The CUP does not currently allow bumper cars and bowling lanes.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Following a public hearing, staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
