Bid documents were broadcast to vendors through BidSync electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website and an Advertisement for Bid notice was published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. One bid was received.
The proposed contract is a unit cost contract. The final contract cost for performing all abatement services will vary, depending upon weather and other factors. For purpose of the vendor, the bid was priced according to the unit costs for the three most frequent abatement services required of the contractor:
Item 1 - Grass cutting on a standard vacant lot (450 units)
Item 3 - Grass cutting on vacant property in excess of one acre (150 units)
Item 7 - Trash, debris, junk removal (600 units)
The term of this contract is for a one-year period with two additional one-year renewal options.
Financial Implications
Abatements on vacant properties will result in liens being placed on the property.
