A resolution authorizing the City Manager to finalize and execute the Dallas County Capital Improvement Project Specific Agreement (PSA) to the Master Agreement governing Major Capital Transportation Improvement Program (MCIP) for the purpose of constructing transportation improvements on the La Prada Drive Major Capital Improvement Program (MCIP) Project 11904 from Motley Drive to Pinehurst Lane within the City of Mesquite.

Body

Dallas County has traditionally participated with the City of Mesquite in project delivery and costs associated with the maintenance of roadway projects of mutual interest to the County and the City. The approved project is for the maintenance, repair, and improvements of La Prada Drive (Motley Drive to Pinehurst Lane).  The project cost is estimated to be $37,920,956.70.

The County and the City mutually agree that the City will be responsible to pay $29,060,956.70 which includes an estimated $19,324,596.00 for construction and an estimated $9,736,360.70 for utilities at 100 percent of the City’s cost. This does not include Work Order Credits that the City would be responsible for.  The County portion will be $8,860,000.00 of the actual qualified project cost for work performed on La Prada Drive (Motley Drive to Pinehurst Lane).  Based on bids received, the current cost is $34,000,863.59.  County maximum participation will remain the same regardless of the actual total cost.
