Consider appointment of one Regular Member (Place No. 1) to the Historic Mesquite, Inc., Board of Directors for a term to expire December 31, 2026, three Regular Members (Place Nos. 6, 7 and 8) for terms to expire December 31, 2027, and two Regular Members (Place Nos. 5 and 9) for terms to expire December 31, 2028.
Body
Currently, the Historic Mesquite, Inc., Board of Directors (HMI) has six vacancies for Regular Members (Place Nos. 1, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9). All members serve alternating three-year terms.
HMI is a non-profit corporation. Therefore, attendance requirements are not applicable to this board.
HMI consists of nine members appointed by the City Council. Nine additional members are self-appointed by the Board. HMI is charged with being stewards of Mesquite’s two historic parks and Mesquite’s collection of historic artifacts.
