The purpose of the annual Police Department Meritorious Conduct Awards is to recognize the achievements and outstanding service of members of the Mesquite Police Department and citizens of Mesquite.
The following employees and citizens will be recognized:
• Sergeant H. Kent Tyler Award (Officer of the Year) - Alex Sparling
• Civilian of the Year - Charity Parker
• Police Medal for Valor and Life Saving Award - Darren Marsack
• Meritorious Conduct - Ronnie Steed
• Police Commendation - Colby Odom, Chris Quigley, and Brandon Snyder
• Life Saving Award - Mario Barrera, Cody Garcia, Daniel Harris, Corey Horn, Steven Hood, Connor Smith, and Ronnie Steed
• Certificate of Merit - Bryan Wilhelms
• Citizen’s Certificate of Merit - Greg Everett and Marina Mueller
