Authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute a contract with Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT), Inc. for project management services in connection with the design and construction of the new Police Department Gun Range in an amount not to exceed $482,569.23.

 

Body

In November 2024, the City of Mesquite released a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to qualify prospective project management companies to assist the City in managing multiple City projects.  Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson was identified by staff to provide professional services to assist the City in management of construction and remodel projects.  JMT is currently managing the Convention Center Remodel Project and the 823 North Galloway Avenue Remodel.  They have provided the expertise and the project management experience to guide both of these projects within budget and address unexpected complications. 

 

Financial Implications

Fees will be paid from the project fund.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute a contract with Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT).
