Consider appointment of a Mayor Pro Tem and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem for one-year terms to expire in August 2022.
Body
Article IV, Section 11 of the City Charter states that “The Mayor Pro Tem shall be selected from among the members of the Council and shall perform all Mayoral duties in the absence or disability of the Mayor. The Mayor Pro Tem shall serve for a term of one year.” The Deputy Mayor Pro Tem is selected from among the members of the Council to perform the duties of the Mayor Pro Tem, if needed.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends appointment of a Mayor Pro Tem and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem to serve one-year terms to expire in August 2022.
