The Mesquite Convention Center, located at 1700 Rodeo Drive, is undergoing a comprehensive interior renovation to modernize the facility, enhance visitor experience, and increase the City's competitiveness in the regional meetings and conventions market. One of the major components of the renovation is the replacement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) across pre-function spaces, corridors, and lobby areas.
Workplace Solutions (WPS), a Texas-based commercial furniture supplier, submitted a full FF&E package tailored to support the operational needs of the updated facility. Their package includes seating, tables, lounge furniture, and specialty items appropriate for the high-use hospitality environments.
The WPS proposal was evaluated for quality, durability, lead times, and pricing. The proposed package meets the functionality, design, and durability standards required for the Convention Center renovation and aligns with the project's interior design plan. WPS will provide turnkey services including order management, delivery, assembly and installation.
WPS was selected in accordance with the terms of Purchasing Cooperative Agreements. Installation is anticipated to be completed in Spring 2026.
Financial Implications
Funding will be provided through Certificate of Obligation bonds.
