Equipment Services collaborates with departments to review vehicle conditions, maintenance expenditures, downtime, and operational needs.
Based on this evaluation, staff has identified aging units with escalating maintenance costs and declining reliability. Sixteen (16) Police units were approved for replacement in the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Capital Outlay Budget.
Proposed for replacement are fifteen Ford Interceptors and one Ford Responder. The estimated arrival for the new units is January 2027.

Financial Implications
