This Real.Texas.Road. project is to reconstruct residential streets, including utilities. The method for street reconstruction is primarily asphalt paving with flex-base. This project includes over 34,000 square yards of asphalt paving, 11,500 linear feet of new 8-inch water mains, 12,500 linear feet of new 8-inch sewer mains. The following streets will be reconstructed:

 

Fleet Circle                     Old London Lane                     Picadilly Boulevard

Liverpool Drive                     Robin Hood Boulevard                     Kimball Avenue

Perkins Street                     Welch Avenue                     North Florence Street

Paddy Street                     Wagoner Street                     Phillip Street

Miranda Drive

 

This project is anticipated to begin April 2026, with an anticipated completion date April 2027.

 

Bid notices were broadcast through the BidNet Direct electronic procurement system, posted on the City’s website, and published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. Eight responsive bids were received.  Staff has reviewed their qualifications and recommends awarding the base bid to Estrada Concrete Company, LLC.

 

Financial Implications

This project has been allocated funding from the Real.Texas.Roads. Street Bond funds and Water and Sewer funds.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends that the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute a contract with Estrada Concrete Company, LLC.
