The Parks Services Division currently mows approximately 855 acres weekly in-house, which requires the use of several pieces of maintenance equipment. The tractor and cutter attachments are used to rough-cut undeveloped properties, slope mow accessible areas of drainage channels, and trim tree lines. This purchase is replacing equipment that has reached the end of its useful life and was originally purchased in 1991.
Deen Kubota provided a quote for one Kubota M6 four-wheel drive Tractor in the amount of $110,690.72. The additional cutting attachments total $59,472.95. Sourcewell provided a discount of $54,370.69 from the original price.
Financial Implications
Funds for this purchase were approved in the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Capital Budget.
