Title

Authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute Change Order Nos. 1, 2 and 3 to Bid No. 2023-141 - Construction Services for Construction of New Fire Station No. 2 with AUI Partners, LLC, for additional services in the total amount of $533,072.26.

 

Body

The City Council approved Bid No. 2023-141- Construction Services for Construction of New Fire Station No. 2. with AUI Partners, LLC, on February 19, 2024, in the amount of $9,649,220.00.

 

Change Order No. 1 is in the amount of $270,428.42 and is required to perform utility revisions, additional sump pump, and additional sanitary sewer line.

 

Change Order No. 2 is in the amount of $231,047.57 and is required to perform grading and flume and retaining wall design revisions and construction.

 

Change Order No. 3 is in the amount of $31,596.27 and is required for additional wiring for Fire Alert System, flagpole lighting, and insulation.

 

The revised contract amount is $10,182,292.26 (Total of $9,649,220.00 + three change order amounts).

 

Financial Implications

Funding for this project is from bond funds and capital reserve.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute Change Order Nos. 1, 2, and 3 to Bid No. 2023-141- Construction Services for Construction of New Fire Station No. 2.
