Title

A resolution authorizing the Mayor to finalize and execute all documents necessary to designate the positions of Director of Finance, Assistant Director of Finance, Cash and Debt Administrator, Treasury Analyst, Manager of Accounting Services, and Assistant City Manager to act as the City of Mesquite’s authorized representatives for Texas Local Government Investment Pool (“TexPool/TexPool Prime”).

Body

This resolution is required by TexPool/TexPool Prime to make changes to the authorized list of City representatives who have authority to transmit funds and perform inquiries for investment purposes in the City’s TexPool/TexPool Prime account. The attached resolution will add Tia Pettis, Assistant Director of Finance, as an authorized representative for the City of Mesquite; and will retain Finance Director Ted Chinn, Cash and Debt Administrator Fernando Aguayo, Treasury Analyst Rachael Deorsam, and Manager of Accounting Services Janice Sterling as authorized representatives. The resolution will also designate Assistant City Manager Suzy Cluse as a representative who may perform only inquiries of selected information. 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends approval of the resolution.
