Authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Engineering Services Contract for the Crandall Connector Water Line Project, with Garver, LLC, for the additional design and preparation of construction documents in an amount not to exceed $22,500.00.
Body
On December 6, 2021, the City Council approved a Professional Engineering Services Contract for the construction plans and specifications for the Water Line Project between Mesquite and the City of Crandall in the amount of $398,535.00.
Amendment No. 2, in the amount of $22,500.00, will include an engineered foundation design for a radio communication tower, including the proposed location on the site plan. This amendment will also include construction commissioning support to address unforeseen conditions, such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system integration, troubleshooting of flow control valves, and configuration or updates to the existing water modeler.
The total contract amount, including Amendment No. 2, will be $421,035.00.
Financial Implications
This project is budgeted through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends that the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Engineering Services Contract with Garver, LLC.
