Authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute a Professional Engineering Services Contract with Freeman-Millican, Inc., a Texas Corporation, for the design of the Southeast Pump Station Improvements, in the amount of $956,000.00.

 

Body

This contract is for the design, bidding, and construction of the Southeast Pump Station Improvements.  This pump station shall have the capacity of 54-million gallons per day and provide water for both South Mesquite in Dallas County and the new water system in the City’s Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ).  The new pump station shall be located west of the existing pump station site.  The existing pump station shall be phased out.

 

Financial Implications

This project is funded with Water and Sewer Funds.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute a Professional Services Contract with Freeman-Millican, Inc.
