Conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance for Zoning Application No. Z0521-0200, submitted by Rob Baldwin of Baldwin Associates, for a change of zoning from Commercial with Skyline Logistics Hub Overlay to Planned Development - Industrial with Skyline Logistics Hub Overlay to allow uses permitted in the Industrial zoning district, located at 2500, 2526 and 2614 Big Town Boulevard.
(No responses in favor and four in opposition to the application have been received from property owners within the statutory notification area. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval with certain stipulations.)
Body
The applicant proposes construction of a 211,112-square-foot building for office, warehouse and distribution uses at the former Travel Centers of America truck stop site on Big Town Boulevard. The development would include enhanced landscaping, restrictions on the location of unmounted trailers and screening requirements.
On July 26, 2021, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6-0 to approve a change of zoning from Commercial with Skyline Logistics Hub Overlay to Planned Development - Industrial with Skyline Logistics Hub Overlay.
Recommended/Desired Action
Following the public hearing, staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
