The purchase of a portable sewer camera and associated accessories will allow staff to inspect the interior of sewer lines, identify potential defects, breaks, and other structural issues, and obtain accurate condition assessments to support proactive maintenance, improve system reliability, and reduce the risk of sewer system failure.
Under our TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) permit, the City is required to camera a certain length of sewer pipe each year.
Financial Implications
Funding is available in Fiscal Year 2027 Water and Sewer Project Funds.
