Bid No. 2024-016, Roadway Maintenance for Oates Drive, with Texas Materials Group, Inc. was approved by the City Council on August 19, 2024, in the amount of $1,470,629.95.
Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $49,562.50 was executed on March 18, 2025, which covered the asphalt overlay quantity for this project to be paid per TON due to uneven pavement surface throughout Oates Drive from Gus Thomasson Road to North Galloway Avenue. Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $44,606.25 is for the asphalt overlay quantity as it was determined another increase in 2-inch type Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete is necessary to complete the resurfacing of the roadway.
The revised contract amount is $1,564,798.70.
Financial Implications
The project is budgeted from the Capital Budget with funds allocated for Street Maintenance.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute Change Order No. 2 to Bid No. 2024-016, Roadway Maintenance for Oates Drive.
