Authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute a Professional Engineering Services Contract with O’Brien Engineering, Inc., for the Shannon Road Flooding Study (Hydrologic and Hydraulic Services) in the amount of $169,148.00.
Body
This contract will provide a drainage study to evaluate existing flooding conditions and identify potential solutions to mitigate nuisance flooding affecting residences, roadways, and structures. The consultant will develop and recommend mitigation alternatives, which may include channel improvements, floodplain improvements, or other drainage improvements.
The City requested this drainage study to identify potential solutions to yard flooding experienced by several private residences along Shannon Road, where stormwater runoff impacts Hagan Hills Pond during significant weather events. The study will provide an evaluation of existing conditions and recommendations for potential future drainage improvements.
Financial Implications
Funding for this project has been allocated with Drainage Utility District (DUD) Funds.

Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute a Professional Engineering Services Contract with O’Brien Engineering, Inc.
