The City’s Print Shop Division is responsible for creating and producing mass printing jobs such as posters, playbills, Human Resources materials and various other print jobs for all City Departments. The proposed lease through Sourcewell includes color and black/white impression printing with a booklet maker and auto duplex document feeder on the new machine, the Accuriopress C4080.
The proposal received from Konica Minolta is for a quarterly lease and maintenance amount of $10,828.46. The maintenance includes 90,000 color prints, service, parts, labor and consumables. The overage costs are $.038 for color impressions and $.007 for black/white impressions that will also be billed quarterly. Staff estimates that a total of 30,000 impressions will be made per month. The total quarterly cost for lease, maintenance and printing overages is estimated to be $10,828.46 with a total annual cost of $43,313.84.

Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute a contract and any required documents with Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc.
