Conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance for Zoning Application No. Z0823-0321, submitted by Tierra Carter-Simmons of Inspiring You to Greatness, for a Comprehensive Plan amendment from Commercial to Low Density Residential and a change of zoning from Agricultural to Planned Development - R-3, Single-Family Residential to allow a 16-lot single-family subdivision, located at 10079 South Belt Line Road.
(No responses in favor and one in opposition to the application have been received from property owners within the statutory notification area. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval with certain stipulations.)
Body
The applicant proposes to develop a 16-lot subdivision to include homes ranging in size from 1500 to 1800 square feet with prices starting at $300,000. The lots would be located on a cul-de-sac and include a playground and small open space.
On March 11, 2024, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6-0 to approve a Comprehensive Plan amendment from Commercial to Low Density Residential and a change of zoning from Agricultural to Planned Development - R-3, Single-family Residential.
Recommended/Desired Action
Following the public hearing, staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
