Staff recommends the ratification of the purchase of a four-wheel drive Tahoe for use as the Fire Department’s Operations Division Command Vehicle. It will replace the Fire Department’s current Command Vehicle, a 2016 Ford F350 Crew Cab chassis outfitted with a remounted command module. This Tahoe is outfitted by Siddons-Martin Emergency Group and offered by Caldwell Automotive Partners, Ltd. The configuration of the vehicle includes a slide-out mount to accommodate the Fire Department’s Command Board, enabling the Incident Commander to better track on-scene activity, increasing safety for fire personnel and the community.
Financial Implications
This purchase is funded through the FY 2022 Capital Budget.
