The Parks and Recreation Department operates four municipal swimming pools that require continuous chemical treatment, water‑quality monitoring, and periodic equipment replacement to meet public health standards and keep facilities running safely. Three pools operate seasonally and one operates year‑round, which creates an ongoing need for chemicals, testing agents, filtration supplies, and replacement parts throughout the year.
Sunbelt Pools has been the City’s primary supplier for many years, with their equipment already installed in the pump rooms at all four facilities. A portion of the annual cost covers the leased equipment currently in use, and maintaining the agreement ensures continuity with the existing setup without disrupting operations. All purchases will be made through the BuyBoard Contract No. 801-26.
Financial Implications
Funding for this contract is available through the Parks and Recreation Department operating budget.
