Body
The Animal Services Advisory Committee is a nine-member board established to review policies of the Mesquite Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, provide guidance to the Animal Services Division in complying with all of the provisions of the V.T.C.A. Health and Safety Code, Chapter 823, as amended, and to perform such other duties as may be assigned by the City Council.
The Animal Services Advisory Committee currently has two vacancies, Position No. 3 (Responsible for Daily Operation of Animal Shelter) and Position No. 7 (Qualified Mesquite Voter and Resident). Aleecia Yesh was recently hired as the Manager of Animal Services and qualifies to serve in Position No. 3
